Light on the feet!
I bought these for a 10 day hiking trip to the Canadian Rockies; Banff and Joho National Parks. I am pleased with them. They are super light! They had good grip and my feet stayed dry during a wet and rainy hike. I took one star off because I usually wear a 6 and I may have felt better in a 5.5 size, but then again the smaller size may have been too tight. I did get one blister on a toe after the second day and skin shedding on the bottom of both feet due to rubbing on the steep downhills. Not sure if that was the need for a half size smaller. I will be able to wear a thicker sock for the next hike that has high elevation. My husband bought the same boot and we both had a one day break in with a small ache on the upper left ankle support. It came and went in 24 hours. I do like the boot for challenging hikes. After day 3 I had no further issues with blisters or ankle support.
