For nearly 90 years, we've been making our authentic Scotch Plaid flannel shirts the way we always have: better than everyone else's. Our exclusive flannel fabric is meticulously woven with longer-staple cotton, which means the individual cotton fibers are about one-quarter inch longer than short-staple fibers, making a huge difference in fabric strength and quality. Then, it's meticulously brushed eight times on each side and given a "touch test" by a master weaver to declare it soft enough.

Best flannel, bar none!
Nobody outdoes LL Bean when it comes to flannel. I own about a dozen, and have bought several for gifts that are always appreciated. The colorful tartans are my favorites. They fit well and are very warm and comfortable without being too warm for indoor wear. They always come out of the laundry looking good-need little or no ironing. They wear well.

My Winter Go To‼️
I really love the traditional Bean Scott plaid shirts! I have several. They are my go to Winter season shirts.
Along the coast in South Carolina we get many cool, often damp days when a sweater may be too warm but I want something heavier than my regular Oxford pinpoints. Leon’s tall flannels are perfect. Excellent fit great colors and no ironing—says so on the label. Bill, Seabrook Island.

Great for all types of situations!
This is a beautiful and comfortable shirt. Nice weight but runs a bit larger. I got an XL and it would be great if layering but seems a bit large on it's own. Love the shirt though so will make it work.
