The turtleneck is perfect
Loved that the turtleneck stands up and is not too big. I bought one a year ago, and the turtleneck is too big and flops open. This one is perfect! It stands up and keeps my neck warm.

All Cotton Comfort and Attractive Color Choices
I have worn these turtlenecks for many years. I appreciate the all-cotton comfort, the color variety and the cuffed sleeves as my sleeve length is short. I expect some shrinkage with all cotton, but in spite of careful laundering—cold water wash, permanent press dry with a cool-down feature—I experienced more shrinkage with recent purchases. I therefore chose a medium rather than my usual small. I am way past the age for getting taller. I’m shrinking in height, which I do not like, but I don’t want my clothes to get shorter!

SHRINKS like crazy!
Actually bought a year ago but never wore until last week. My other mock turtlenecks did not shrink like this. Bought the petite XS (5'2", 90 lbs). VERY DISAPPOINTED. This is the only one that was a little bit warm to wear, the mock necks keep me cold. Don't think it is actually 100% real cotton. Better size up 1-2 sizes. Will have to donate.

Order tall for adequate arm length after washing
Nice fabric. Heavy and the white shirt is opaque. I’m 5’7”, 145 lbs and the medium is very roomy. I got the tall version based on reading reviews. After washing/drying, the arm length did shrink to what I consider a standard length. This was suitable for me. I think a regular shirt would have ended up with sleeves that were too short. The volume in the body of the shirt, however, didn’t shrink, so it’s still too loose for my liking and too bulky for layering.

Disappointed.
I wear black turtlenecks for work and decided to buy what I thought were high quality shirts from Bean. I followed the washing directions and the shirt shrunk lengthwise. I've had the same experience with another high-end brand long sleeve polo. I am disgusted that they don't allow for this shrinkage. The bottom of the shirt rests just below the waistline which causes gaps and I can't even tuck it in enough for it to stay.
