Best banded turtleneck no doubt; just size up
These are great turtlenecks. They can last for years and still look attractive. They work as a standalone item or under another shirt or sweater. Plus they can be used in both casual and dressy settings (with the right accessories).
I dislike hemmed sleeves as they tend to ride up on my arms or slide past my wrists depending on how long the sleeves are. These turtlenecks have banded sleeve cuffs so they stay put where they land.
They end up running small so I buy a size up and after a couple of washing and drying cycles, they fit me perfectly. And the cotton is high enough quality that they last me years and look great for that long. Being 100% cotton helps.
Too bad they stopped making true Navy ones and aren't made in colors that look good on me (like fuchsia, magenta, indigo, and charcoal and medium grey). I look washed out in pastels and I get tired of only wearing black and white.

Shrinkage!
Loved all three of my shirts…until I washed them…always in warm, not hot, water and tumble dry. The shrinkage is annoying, esp the sleeves, which I am constantly having to pull down. The black was the worse.
The fabric and quality are fine.

Itchy tag
Just got this. 60 years old, 5'6" 180 lbs. bought large. the neck tag is printed on the fabric, but the care tag is on the side and rough and scratchy-will have to cut it out. Sleeves are just right lenght and length of body is to pants, but not very long. Would like to have seen sleves and overall lenght longer. maybe i should have got XL.

Beautiful alpine blue color, BUT...
While I love the quality of this turtleneck's fabric, the sizing needs much improvement. The sleeves are at least an inch too short and the body should be two inches longer. Since turtlenecks are winter clothing, they should be long enough to stay tucked in, but this style's length is not adequate. Unfortunately, it isn't offered in tall.
