Water bottle pocket
The bag is nice and roomy but the water bottle pocket is terrible. Bottle falls out every day when my son gets out of the car. Also falls out going up and down the steps in school. Very disappointing. This wasn't a problem on the bag that is a size down from this one

Side mesh pockets are too short!
I am very sad that I cannot fit a normal sized water bottle on these side pockets. It falls out 100% of the time because they are too short and do not support the height. Very poor planning on this otherwise spacious.

Updated backpack
We updated an old backpack to this one for traveling purposes and the water bottle pocket! It's spacious, sturdy and practical. Will get another if this one ever wears out.
