A 4WOW coat.
I just got this in the mail end of July. It’s a long time till November cold so I can’t test it. I don’t need to test it. It’s a totally WOW WOW WOW WOW coat. I have other Bean coats and jackets and none of them will equal the warmth of the Maine Warden’s inner jacket or any of the details of manufacture. Zippers: perfect. The collar on the inner liner is SUPER, better than other LLBean coats and jackets incl the down ones. I’m 78 and know outdoor winter gear. This coat system beats the best ice fishing suit coats. Forget any other LLBean winter jacket or coat. SUPER coat(s). The coat I’m wearing in this photo is LLBean’s 800 down jacket and it’s good for freezing and above.

I've been waiting for this product since the last winter. At this point I can't provide an opinion as to its warmth value in the bitter cold, but I can say that the fit is wonderful, the conversion of removing and reinstalling the inside down part is easy, and finally it appears that this version of the jacket will be even more cold resistant than my 25+ year old similar jacket that the outside zipper broke on, and I returned for a full refund.
