Our founder, L.L., first introduced genuine handsewn mocs 100 years ago in 1926, and we've made them better than ever before. We added a more flexible insole and upgraded the foam underfoot for immediate comfort right out of the box. A new leather sock liner molds to your foot over time for custom comfort and a barefoot feel. And new, high-quality leathers that start out comfy and get better the more you wear them.

Quick break-in, odd lace quality
The leather broke in quickly and they have assumed the title of my everyday shoe. The strangest downside was actually the quality of the laces. Only after 2/3 weeks the white cores of the shoelaces started bulging through and coming out in multiple spots. It was like the laces had a couple of hernias lol. I ended up pulling the cores out. The laces are flimsier now but still totally usable. I only wish they were of better quality (ideally leather) then they’d be a 5/5 shoe out of the box.
