Good for winter
I live in these from October thru April, roughly. I recently lost a lot of weight so I needed new ones. These are a tad snug in the waist but not a deal breaker

Perfect for Entire Winter Season
This is the FOURTH pair of flannel-lined pants that I have owned, includes two pairs of jeans and now two pairs of chinos. These are my "go to" winter season, day-to-day pants for dog-walking, outdoor errands (chinos) or outdoor working (jeans). Very comfortable indoors and outdoors and certainly warm enough to wear out and around all season. If it's colder I can always add a lightweight under layer which fits easily. The "fit" is incredibly good and accurate. I found the fleece-lined pants simply too hot and sweaty for indoors. Sweats are not regally all that warm and can look sloppy, but the flannel lining has been perfect and looks good. The jeans get a bit heavy, but not excessively.
