Not what I expected
Years ago the insulation liner went to the top of the boot sort of like a sock where it was stitched to just the top of the tongue of the boot so that you can't lose it when you pull it out and turn it insideout to dry.
I really would have liked a 10 inch with the thinsulate sock but settled for the 8 inch since that's all they offered, to be disappointed by this change in design. I would have paid more for a set of boots with the full size thinsulate sock. Now you pay the same price, for 1/3 the insulation.

Awesome Boot
Not exactly the same boot but very close. Purchased the Gortex lined boot specifically for this River cruise. The Boots were incredibly comfortable and warm. Picture was taken in Strasbourg France on our 5 day Christmas on the Rhine Cruise. Walked all day on cobblestone streets with no issues
