Inconsistent Sizing
I ordered the Riverton Pants W31 L30 regular. It was the 4th pair I've ordered over time. No two pairs fit exactly the same, but this time my Riverton pants were way off size. They were perhaps a size and a half too small. Way too tight. My other pants of the same size fit great (some comfortably snug and some a smidge loose). Bean needs to exercise better oversight and quality control, which it does not. This is not the first for Bean clothing. And for their inconsistency and error, I get to pay out of pocket for shipping the return of their mis-sized product. I love these pants, but almost done with Bean (if I can find a true to size alternative pair of pants).

Bring back the old style
The old style had Velcro back pockets to keep my wallet more secure. Would buy more if the previous version were still available.

Bring back the previous style
I have 6 pair of the previous version with stretch and love them. I would buy 10 more if you brought them back. The phone pocket on the right side is perfect - haven't found any other pants with that option. Please, please, please bring back the previous ones!

Inconsistent
I wish whomever designs and manufactures these pants would stick to a formula. The secure, left side, velcro flap back pocket has moved to the other side (now zippered), and the zippered left side thigh pocket is completely gone. I spend 80-100 days on the water every year and these pockets kept keys, knives and wallets from going swimming. I wish they'd bring back the old style!

Used to be my favorite pants
What happened?!? The Riverton pants with stretch were perfect. Nice blend of heavy duty durability mixed with a light enough fabric to be comfortable. And the added stretch was soooo nice. Seems like an ongoing trend with LL Bean. The quality goes down while the price goes up. I understand that's the way of the world, but I almost thought/hoped LL Bean would resist this trend. Very disappointed in their recent quality.

I ordered the new Riverton pants hoping the new side pocket placement would work. I regret the purchase because I am now sitting on my phone.

Great Yard Pants
I bought 2 pair of these in Sept. of '23 for my husband, who's retired but does tremendous amounts of landscaping & maintenance on our property. They just recently started wearing out at the knees- I bought them for their articulated knees, for all of his bending. I saw the bad recent reviews, & was hesitant to purchase new ones, but I bit the bullet & he's been just as happy with the newer ones, & so far they're holding up great. I'd still recommend!
