Poor inside pocket
There's only one inside pocket. The opening is 4.5" wide, but the top flap has the sides sewn down. This reduces the effective opening size. I bought a similar jacket from LL Bean about 7 years ago. Like this one, it has 6 pockets on the outside, but it has 4 pockets on the inside. This older jacket has more useful inside pockets. Other than that it's a good jacket.

Great coat for traveling, versatility for everyth.
Bought this for river cruise through Germany. The many pockets were quite useful. The coat is basically a shell with just a thin liner. On a 50 degree day I had a few layers on under the coat.

Best Upland Jacket I've Owned
Hands down, best upland field jacket for my money. It's perfect in the field walking up pheasant, ptarmigan, Hungarian Partridge, SharpTail's , but can be worn in any restaurant or pub. It has a positive, large, easy to work zipper I can work while wearing gloves. The hand warmer pockets are very nice. The capacious side pockets each hold five shells and whatever else you need to carry. The inside pocket is perfect for phone, hunting licence or ID, water resistant enough for field

Nice Jacket but not for foul weather
This is a nice jacket, BUT it doesn't have a hood [ which would be standard in a jacket like this] and not the full complement of pockets. But it has the perfect weight for around ton in mild winter weather.
