A handsome shawl-collar sweater made of 100% merino wool for luxurious softness, in a season-spanning midweight knit.
These classic sweaters were inspired by our own outdoor sporting sweaters and named after the beautiful, rugged Rangeley Lakes region of Maine. Made of 100% merino wool for a supersoft feel, they're designed to be lighter in weight than many wool sweaters, so they can be worn most months of the year.

Quality and Warmth
This sweater, so far, seems to be high quality, good sizing (men's M) and warmth. It is neither a light weight nor heavy weight sweater, and seems perfect for weather in the low 30's and below. It fits beautifully.

Get 'em while it's Hot
It's still a blazing hot summer. The sweater has not been worn yet. Like Warren Buffet says,
"Buy your straw hats in winter". This sweater was purchased this summer, before the onset of a chilling winter.

Short
I have many sweaters from Bean’s in the same size and fit as this one. When this sweater arrived and I tried it on I found it to be extremely short in both the hem and the sleeves. The material and craftsmanship were just fine, but the sweater wore as if it had been washed and run through the drier on high. I returned it after trying it on.

Beautiful Before Washing
Wonderful fit and a very niece piece until we washed it. Unwearable after washing due to shrinkage. We washed this on gentle cycle, cold water…. We later discovered it was to be hand washed…we would not have purchased a hand washed sweater.
