I love the airlight line of LL Bean outerwear. I own a vest, two pf the full zips and a pullover. The material is amazingly light, easy to care for, and gives warmth without being heavy. It looks smarter than average sweatshirt or hoodie, but is very cozy. Machine wash and ready to go! I gave the Smoke Blue jacket to a friend for her birthday and she loved it. Ive also given them to my husband, my sister, my Mom, and my best friend. Everyone loves the lightweight material and how nice it looks. Great for the Pacific NW. Hiking, walking the dog, running errands, weekend warrior. So versatile and fits true to size.

Used to love these, but QC problem now
I have purchased a number of these Airlight Knit tops in different colors. This year I purchased the Bone Heather color. The first one I received was unwearable. It was packed with the collar folded and the folds would not release even with washing/drying. I returned it for another. Same problem. I am working on several washes and may try to steam the front of the collar, but it is a polyester fabric and steam can be harsh. There is no reason why LL Bean should allow folding and compression of a garment in packaging that ruins its wearability. If I can't get the fold marks out of this one, I will return it, too. The picture on the webpage does not show the folds, but being I received the Bone Heather color twice with the same problem tells me the website photo is not representing the item honestly. That said, I do enjoy many LL Bean items and am thankful I could return the first one of the Bone color even though I washed it.
