Better update- yes and no
the pants are thinner and dont have the same feel as before and the zippers are gone in the back pockets,but the pockets are deeper which is good. I believe they dont have as much cotton,have a poly type feel,but still a pretty good pant

Changes good and not so
Replaced ripstop explorer previous model. Belt loops for elastic and string tie are OK. Fit looser, fabric thinner. Doesnt feel as sturdy but good enough.

The size, fit, and fabric are excellent. The only shortcoming is that the front pockets are short.
