Updating a previous review. I have purchased this product many times over decades. It's one of the best things I have ever purchased from LL Bean; six dogs have used them near daily. I still have 4 or 5 that have worn like iron! The newest one I recently purchased is different. While still nice, the "denim twill" is not as heavy. I miss the 100% cotton denim that my previous purchases had. Nothing's as comfortable as, or ages as nicely as cotton.The sherpa fleece seems thinner as well. Still a good product, my dog loves it but I wish that it was the same...if it's not broke, on't fix it. Will it be as rugged as before?

5 years ago I purchased the same dog blanket and have LOVED it but the current blanket quality is very different. The sizes are smaller, the plush side is now made of a polyester material and the monogram was done on the wrong side. Additionally, the monogram was not completed properly as it still had pieces of the backing material attached. I was able to clip the many stay threads and remove the backing material with a pair of tweezers. This should have been done by LL Bean, not the customer ! I purchased 3 blankets as gifts, they were not gifting ready when they arrived.
