This waterproof version of our bestselling day pack features a roll-top closure, waterproof fabric and taped seams that seal out moisture. It's still ultralight and stuffs into a built-in pouch for storage and travel, just like the original.

Water resistant but a bit small
This bag needed was too small. We needed a waterproof backpack for shore excursions on our trip to Alaska, but this bag didn’t hold anymore than a water bottle, a thin rain jacket and a few snacks.

Not stowable
The name of this product is not correct. The pack is not stowable. The inside pocket is way too small. The LL Bean non-waterproof stowable pack is a wonderful pack and I was hoping that this waterproof version would be as well. So disappointed.

Everything the Daypack was but better
Coming from a minimalist backpacking point of view; might be a niche review, but great for those who need it.
1. GET A BRIGHT COLOR. When this falls off the kayak you want to see it float down the river as you try to rescue.
2. The elastic strap PERFECTLY fits a standard bear spray canister. No wobble when walking and pretty comfortable; easy one hand use.
3. Since it is a dry bag I use it in my backpacking setup with very little added weight. It also lets me peak bag from camp in the middle of big backpacking trips

I needed a waterproof, packable bag for day
hikes on a longer trail for an international trip. Didn’t want it the rest of the trip so it had to almost disappear in my luggage. It fit my rain jacket & pants, hiking towel, snacks~ the water bottles stayed in, has a bungee to stash something on outside, and 1 tiny wallet zip pocket inside. It DID rain and the pack WAS waterproof! I’m very happy with it! A quality product from a quality brand.

Costa Rica trip
I bought this backpack for a trip to Costa Rica and it was perfect: lightweight, waterproof, small but large enough to hold everything I needed for hiking. I will be using it a lot in the future. Love the color!
