A seriously soft and substantial graphic sweatshirt in a long-lasting cotton/polyester blend. Our heavyweight fabric is brushed on the inside for an extra-cozy feel.
The Katahdin Iron Works operated in the north woods for much of the 19th century, employing thousands of hardworking Mainers. Inspired by their grit and strength, we designed our Katahdin Iron Works line of rugged work clothes to stand up to all kinds of rough use.

Shrunk in the wash
I’ve owned a few LLBean sweatshirts that I’ve been very happy with, the trick is to avoid anything with embroidered logos or screen printing. I took a chance on this one because of the Katahdin name but I should have stuck to my rule. This shirt shrunk a full size at least in the wash and the neck came out very weirdly misshapen to the point of looking like a clown shirt.

Outdoors workhorse.
Generally find Bean sweatshirts wear like iron, are warm and last forever (good). I usually go with a lighter weight as I am not outdoors in winter as much as I used to be--however I was tempted by this color and design (Diamond on Neutral Oatmeal). It's a winner.
