Christmas expansion around my waist and nothing fits

I don't like the stretch material. I bought my normal size, but it was too baggy and the stretch made it worse. I returned the product.

Waist Too Tight
I ordered my size. They arrived quickly. I tried them on and the length was perfect. But the waist was tighter than it should have been. After a few cold washes and hang drying episodes, the waist got even tighter. It is uncomfortably tight. I should have sent them back before wearing them.

By LL Bean standards the pant fabric was very cheap. It bled in washing a lot. The fabric stayed very stiff even after washing. The fit was uncomfortable. Made squishy noise when walking. I returned it - but by far the most disappointing LL Bean purchase.
