the heels are a little wide and you have to wear these boots with thick socks. definitely order at least a size down Have other ll bean boots and surprised these did not fit as well

Can't get it on my feet
Pull on boots of the right size do not allow me to put the boot on. The Bean advisor said that getting a larger size wouldn't solve that. My feet are small, so I'm wondering who COULD get into that boot?

Very warm
I bought these last month and they are warm. I ordered a size 12 wide pair and am having a little problem getting my feet through the curve of the boots as they are a support to the ankle.

Pretty decent boot.
I bought these because they were sold out of the side zip model. I had my wife draw perfectly around my foot like directions indicate. Matched the measurements to chart and the boots are correct in length but a little too wide. I would say if you are 1/4 off on width compared ti their chart, go with the next narrowest size they have available. Boots go on firm but need to be to provide support. Overall a good boot and super warm. I just got back from northern Mn , ice fishing in -15 temps and my feet were never cold. The key is boot dryers at night.
