Ouch! Plan to wear a medium thick sock.
Wish I could say I loved these boots, but I was very disappointed when I got them. The front top part of the boot where the light brown leather meets the dark brown rubber on the outside does not come together well - like it was missing sone glue. For the price, I don't think that should happen. I expect more quality from LL Bean. Also, the main reason I dislike this boot is b/c where the top part of the boot is sewn to the bottom part of the boot on the inside seam is bare. There is no "finish" along the inside wall so the seam just sticks out and rubs against your ankle bones. There is no way I could use these to slip on real quick barefoot without socks - very painful. If you plan to wear a medium thick sock every time, then maybe they would be OK but I was hoping for something I could slip on barefoot at times to run outside here and there. Can't do that with this boot. My search for the perfect slip on will continue. For some reason, the website is not working for me to upload the pics...???

TERRIBLE FIT
The fit is horrible. I returned the first pair to exchange for the smallest size offered - size 6. I normally wear a 7.5. The heel slips and rubs. I can't wear them too long without feeling uncomfortable. Love that they are waterproof but not worth the money at all.

I have small wide feet with a high instep which makes wearing boots difficult. These boots are built perfectly, no pinching and I very much appreciate the 2 large pull straps. Quality is top-notch! DO need to order a half size down unless you wear with thick socks.

Excellent for dog walks!
I bought these to be able to slip them on for my dog walks. They are perfect for those walks but they are also just stylish to wear for errands when you're just needing a little more protection. I usually wear a 7.5 or 8 so I sized down to a 6.5. A 6 may have even worked too. I wear 2 socks on one of my feet (but that's my issue). Highly recommend.
