Contains the canine messes
We bought this to capture dirt and mud from our dogs' paws as well as any messiness from their food and water bowls. It's big enough and the quality is sufficiently good to protect hardwood floors. Just finished ordering a wide doormat to use inside the house in front of our sink and dishwasher.

Wipe your feet on the best rug ever!
This is my third waterhog rug purchase from LL Bean, two have been gifts and one was for me. I can't say enough about the quality and durability of these mats, especially in high traffic areas and entrances. This particular rug was purchased for my daughter, who lives in a house with 2 Labs and 3 teen boys. Needless to say, they had a great need for a large, durable sturdy rug in their foyer and this fit the bill. It might seem foolish to spend so much on a floor mat, but these rugs take a lot of abuse and still look great. Super cute motif with the dogs made this a perfect gift for her.
