Rapid River Vest could be improved.
The vest is very comfortable and functional. However, I found the inner lining to be incompatible with hooks (treble hooks in my instance) if they should come into contact with the material. A fishing rod with an attached Whopper Plopper fell onto the jacket and I had to damage the vest material to remove it.

Durable
I have the older version, the green with full back pack, going on 10 years with it fishing almost daily in the northeast chasing steelhead from September-march. Fishing in all conditions from heavy rain and winds to blizzards and sleet. Fully loaded with lead shots, floats, beads, jigs and drinks and this thing hasn’t aged, worn or ripped. It’s extremely impressive considering what I’ve put it through. All the zippers are holding perfectly which id assume would be the first to go especially with maxing out the space in the compartments. Extremely impressed

My new fly fishing vest
