Wears like iron
I bought this about three years ago and it still looks almost new, after muddy boots and shoes and cats using it for a scratch pad. When it's dirty I take it outside and hose it off and it looks great again. Money well spent.

It fits under the Door
New flooring made putting a mat next to the door to catch all the crud off shoes not possible. The LL Bean Doormat fits under the door edge. While other mats did not fit. It has been raining a lot and with a Great Dane dog this mat helps to keep her paws from messing up the new floor.

Offensive odor
We like the style and color of these mats and have bought some in the past. The big negative is that they give off a terrible smell. We had the big one in our foyer and the odor was so strong we had to put it outside. The offensive smells (almost chemical-like) permeates the surrounding area. We had to put the small one in the garage. We are very surprised and disappointed.
