A customer favorite for 30 years, our Tropicwear sunblocking apparel is now even better - with a softer fabric, built-in stretch, a more comfortable fit and better venting.
Our original SunSmart™ apparel, Tropicwear was first introduced in 1992 to protect destination anglers from the hot tropical sun. Customers quickly discovered Tropicwear wasn't just for fishing, using it for just about anything outdoors. It's been updated with a better fit, new stretch woven fabric that's softer and better ventilation. Best of all, Tropicwear still provides UPF 50+ sun protection, or about 10 times more than a white cotton tee.
- 71% nylon; 29% polyester.
- Machine wash and dry.
- Made with soft, lightweight polyester/nylon weave with comfortable built-in stretch.
- New vertical back caping works well with fishing packs.
- UPF 50+ fabric blocks at least 97.5% of the sun's UV rays.
- Cape venting in front for extra air-flow.
- Includes larger front chest pockets for smaller necessities.
- Sunglasses microfiber wipe on front shirt tail.
- Wrinkle-free fabric is ready to wear right out of the dryer.
- Snap down points keep collar in place while using pack or on boat ride.
- Tabs allow you to keep sleeves rolled up and in place even while casting.

review of hiking shirt
this shirt in the picture looks much more feminine. the sides are rounded and hit the model above the crotch giving the shirt a much more feminine look. On me the shirt hangs 5 inches below my crotch and doesn't have rounded sides at all. It just looks like any blocky men's shirt.

Love This Shirt!
Wore this shirt every sunshine-filled day for a hot week in Utah’s national parks, and came away with zero sunburn. It did its sunblocking job in style, packed without a wrinkle, and even has pockets. Couldn’t ask for more!

Disappointed
I have this in 3x from 2024. Lost weight but loved it for travel. Ordered the 1x Rodin it no longer has zippered side pockets - which were one of the best features. Returned. Will wear the big one to Hawaii next month.
