I have several of the Women's Lakewashed Dock Shorts, and they're my go-to summer choice. They're comfortable, come in nice colors that complement my tops, and are a good length.

Great shorts
These go down a bit longer which I prefer. I do like the drawstring as I go up and down with my wt. I got size 10/khaki and love these. I'm 5'5" and wt is 150. They wash well tho I air dry them. Great for everyday wear.

Bring back the canvas
Bring back the canvas shorts. These fit just fine, but the structure of the shorts is not the same is neither the quality. After reading other reviews, I would benefit LLBean to bring back a great product. I am still wearing my canvas ones tha I purchased over 3 years ago.
