We've made the chino more comfortable than ever, in soft-washed cotton chambray with stretch for ease. In a versatile ankle style with a drawstring elastic waist that's easy to pull on and looks great too.
It's not easy to make a classic even better, but we did. First, we added a touch of stretch to traditional cotton and washed it for exceptional softness and ease. Then, we added a full elastic waistband for comfort worthy of lounging and style ready for any occasion.

Fabric too stiff, too tight in hip area
The “perfect fit” style that LLB uses a LOT doesn’t fit me. I tired these pants but the usual problem—too much fabric in the waist and too little in the hips. Also, I thought the fabric would be more of a summer weight but it was thick and stiff. Returned.

very comfortable
just what I was looking for - with arthritis keeping me from jeans, zippers + buttons, I wanted something to wear like I used to wear jeans - I love the pockets - the waist is not too tight - I have scoliosis + my stretchy brace fits well under these - I'm very happy - I have 2 pair now chambray + dark chambray which is similar to my old jean color. Thanks so much - LLBean to the rescue again!

Big disappointment
I have two earlier models of these pants, but I would not buy this one again. The elastic on the waist is so loose it's a good thing that the cloth belt it comes with works. The label is sewn in and very scratchy. It's also considerably warmer than earlier models. I'm really disappointed with this purchase.
