Love love love!
Bought this at the start of 2025 and have worn these through 2 winters now. These boots are perfect for weather between like 50F and 15F. I wear them with the Costco Merino wool blend crew socks. Around 15F, my feet might start getting a little cold if outside too long, but maybe could solve that issue with thicker socks. Above 50F and my feet might be way too warm. I feel like these boots added 5F of warmth to my winters! Great insulation.
There's a slightly more noticeable incline at the toe area, which was a bit more pronounced than my previous boots, so that took a little getting used to when like climbing stairs.
Love the style and look of the boots. Kept up well over a year later and I haven't really done any maintenance on them, but I should start looking into them because I'd love to keep these boots forever.
To put on the boots, I've tied the laces around all 4 lace hook things and had enough to double knot the tips with just the right amount of length. To take off the boots, I actually always keep the laces tied and just kind of unrwrap them from the top 4 lace hook things, then loosen the rest a bit to get my foot out. Then to put them back on, I pull on the laces a bit to tighten and wrap them around again.
I also wore these for some light hiking in like New Zealand in their early Spring months. They have some grip, but not the best for actual dedicated hikes. They aren't great in like muddy paths, but they did the job and I probably should have gotten dedicated hiking boots for that anyway. I wear these normally on like paved city sidewalks. It's pretty waterproof too. I have stepped in massive puddles just fine.
I actually got these along with "
Down East Utility Boot Insulated Lace Up Women's" which doesn't seem to be offered anymore. That boot is good for above 32F, super easy to put on and off with the zipper, and has thicker padding, but otherwise I probably love wearing these boots more. These boots are also pretty good for like 10K steps a day, but I considered getting an insole to provide extra padding and just haven't done so because the boot out of the box is really good. Anyway, hope all this helps!
I'm also normally a size 8.5 and went with the size 8.5 and it was perfect. Good toe room and fit overall for me.

Perfect everday
Bought these for myself at Christmas because I needed a water proof boot that was not too clunky. Love them!! I wear a 7 1/2 and I got an 8 to be able to wear thick socks. They are great!!

Awesome boot
Great boot - love the look and overall feel. Only issue is that it takes a little getting used to in terms of breaking in the height near the ankle. It can be kind of uncomfortable for the first series of wears.

Sturdy Boots
I hesitate to rate as I haven’t worn them yet. I bought them for a trip to Scotland next September but I need to break them in and it’s been very snowy here and I didn’t want to muck them up.They seem sturdy but are much stiffer than I had hoped. Sizing was good but the footbed wasn’t comfortable so I added an insert.
