Product Details

Our premium hiking socks are made from itch-free merino wool that naturally wicks moisture away and resists the growth of odor-causing bacteria. With generous cushioning and plenty of stretch, they'll keep your feet extra-comfortable on long hikes.

L. L. Bean used to say, "if your feet are happy, you're happy". Both you and your feet will be super-pleased on every hike with these ultra-comfortable merino wool hiking socks. They absorb shocks, wick moisture, hold their shape and won't smell funky at the end of a long day on the trails.

  • Made with a blend of responsibly-sourced Merino wool that's naturally odor-resistant and breathable.
  • In a soft, moisture-wicking blend of 77% Merino wool, 21% nylon and 2% Lycra Spandex.
  • Machine wash and dry.
  • Seamless toe prevents chafing.
  • Improved design for more comfort, durability and a better fit.
  • Lightweight cushioning for reliable comfort.
  • Reinforcement at heels and toes for durability and comfort.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very good wool/nylon/spandex blend 3-season socks These have become my go-to three-season socks for fall/winter/spring. Pros: - I like the wool since it's warm, moisture-wicking, and does not hold foot odor. - The fit works well for me. I wear a size Medium sock and my feet are size 8.5 - 9 in most shoes, especially sneakers. - They are thick enough to provide cushion without too much bulk. I also have very high arches and I find the thickness is supportive, but not too big to wear inside my sneakers along with my custom orthotics. - They have been sufficiently durable for me: I go through a batch of 7 per year, and then I hand them off to a family member once the socks start to wear but before holes appear, and I get a new batch. - I have bought these for 2 years now, late each summer, and I am sufficiently satisfied that I plan to continue handing these off each summer before buying another 7 pair, as long as I continue to like style, fit, and materials. Cons: - I find these sufficiently soft, as I want some body in the wool. But I agree with some other customers that these can feel a bit on the scratchy side for a premium wool sock, though I find these soften up with machine washing and drying. - I am satisfied with the platinum (gray, basically) color, so I have a week's worth of pairs in the same color, since I mostly wear jeans or dark pants. But I do find the other colors kind of "off" and less appealing, rather than more standard gray, blue, black, tan, green, etc. - I do find they pill a bit, though it seems to level off, and not keep pilling until the socks disintegrate. - Also, the loops on the inside can catch my fingernails and toenails when I put them on. This is tolerable, but I do notice it. f you find wool is the best sock, this is a very good candidate.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Huge! I ordered a women’s small. They were huge. Fortunately they fit my husband’s foot who is a men’s medium. He loves them but I don’t have my socks!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Socks Suck Flimsy, lacking the appropriate amount of padding featured in the Bean socks I attempted to replace and hardly “mid-calf” I regret to inform you I returned these socks and instead intend to try the Thorlo product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice socks Great but run large- I bought a medium. I wear a women's shoe size 7.5 and they are big for me. Put in dryer and good for boots but probably should have sized down.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Lining too small Inner lining made the socks too small. Recommend purchasing one size up

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Every day: Spring Summer, Winter, and Fall I have been wearing the Cresta Lightweight hiking socks, all day, every day, 365 days a year for years plus one more day on leap years. They are super comfy and last a long time. One design feature I really like is what I call the "racing stripe" up each side of the sock. It is a guide when putting the socks on to keeping the sock straight by aligning the stripe right over each ankle. High praise for attention to detail!
