Best rain gear
Best rain gear I have ever owned. Put it to use during a 1 hour dog walk....started raining halfway through. Rather, it downpoured halfway through. My top half was perfectly dry. My shorts and boots not so much. My one year old puppy had water pouring off her. She didn't seem to mind. Shook the water right off......onto me. My wife now uses my jacket whenever it rains. Will be ordering one in her size shortly.

Pros
. keeps the water water out
. remarkably wind proof
. does not overheat
. good weight, not heavy at all
. looks good (have received multiple compliments on the appearance)
. pocket sizes are generous
. good length with just enough coverage for the caboose
. zippers solid (so far)
Cons
. Stuff falls out of the side pockets way too easily—I've lost a glove and had several close calls with other items. I wish the pockets were at an angle instead of straight up & down, or had some other design element to keep things secure without having to zip them up all the time.

It's Goretex and LLB. It's the best.
Replacing what must have been the original model of this one, purchased in early winter 1994, this seems to have the extra pockets the 21st Century with cell phones demands. Although it is effective as ever in rain and I think wind, it seems stiffer and sort of "noisy" which seems an unusual trait for a jacket. Maybe with Goretex it has to be that way, but I'm thinking (and hoping) that with use, getting in and out of cars, folding up to put in a carry-on, and just exposure to the elements, this observation will fade. I do not see it as a real problem, but that may be because I am so sure it will get better with age supported by the fact that the old faithful Goretex jacket it replaces is 31 years old!

Fit of the coat was great in a size large. I am six feet tall and weigh 185. I wanted to have it for a trip to Ireland because of the rain. We only got caught out in the rain once but the jacket did a nice job of keeping me dry. I feel that it does a great job at cutting the wind as we also went to some windy parts of Ireland. One small aspect of the coat is not perfect in that it is a bit noisy.
