For nearly 90 years, we've been making our authentic Scotch Plaid flannel shirts the way we always have: better than everyone else's. Our exclusive flannel fabric is meticulously woven with longer-staple cotton, which means the individual cotton fibers are about one-quarter inch longer than short-staple fibers, making a huge difference in fabric strength and quality. Then, it's meticulously brushed eight times on each side and given a "touch test" by a master weaver to declare it soft enough.

Shirt shrinks a lot
I bought this shirt a few months ago, and it fit fine at first, but each wash (warm water, which in the winter here is more like cold water) the sleeves get shorter and shorter. They are now several inches up my arms. It will go in the rag bin soon. The other LLBean flannel shirts I bought at the same time still fit fine. I don't see this color shirt on the web site anymore, so perhaps it was pulled.

LL Bean is the only flannel shirt you need
I’m a traditional guy where it comes to my flannel shirts. I love tartan plaids, and Bean has a variety of them. They are built to last. In fact I still have the first LL Bean flannel shirts I ever bought, some 30 years ago! They’re a little faded but holding their own after all this time.

Mens scotch plaid flannel shirt slim fit
Purchased for my son, he loves LL Bean. Stylish but casual! He has a wardrobe of LL Bean Shirts and looks great in all of them. They sear well and look nice even after many washing machine cycles.

Shocking drop in quality
Purchase two flannel shirts from Bean as i have done in past. Shirt arrived soft and in good shape as expected. Followed wash care directions to the letter and shirt now rough and nowhere near as soft as prior experience. Bery very disappointed in decline of Bean quality. Frankly shocked.
