Great, but...
I absolutely love the style and fit of LLBean swimsuits, but every one I have bought--I've probably purchased 4 at this point--have faded to the point of ridiculous, and in one case, not only did it fade, but one of the colors turned a completely different color. I only wear these in the warm water pool at my gym, and I'm sure there is a lot of chlorine in it, but I don't notice this happening to any of the other regulars. I'm also diligent about rinsing the suit out in cold water after each use. I've attached photos of my most recent purchase, the faded version of it is only 6 months after purchase.
I usually have to go 1 size up in the swimsuits from my normal size, so this was a size larger, and fit perfectly.

Perfect fit! I’m 5’4” and most suits I tried on were just a little too long in the torso but this one was just right! Also, I love how the straps glide in place on your shoulders…nice! I’ve gotten several compliments too!!

Love the bright colors and the way it fits! Great for the pool.or sitting out in the Florida sun. The material is good quality and dries quickly. Very happy I bought this (plus another one in a different print).

lap suit
This is my go to suit for lap swimming in an indoor pool. It covers my 70+ year old body well. I have had many of these suits over the years. In the chlorine, it holds up for 4 to 5 months before it loses its elasticity and fades from the initial vibrant color. I am careful with the suit, not putting it in hot water and not putting it in a washing machine. I soak it overnight in cold water with a splash of white vinegar, then air dry on a flat surface. I wish I could get a little more life out of this suit, but since it fits me well, I will continue to purchase them.
