A new twist on a nautical tradition, our Irish fisherman cardigan sweater features a flattering shorter length and a more fitted style in soft cotton yarns.
The original fisherman's sweaters of the Aran Islands were knit with designs that told stories of a rich coastal heritage. Stunning cotton Signature sweeter
Recently purchased this beautiful cotton sweater! Colors are stunning.( shades of blue) Very well made. Huge fan of LL bean sweaters. Their Signature sweaters are so very well made . I recently purchased one from a New England company it was pitful experience. I have some Bean sweaters that are 15 years old. My mom’s was 50 and that sweater was taken every where . Work, out to dinner, to her assisted getting out of living days . That cotton bean sweater and my mom grew old together. The bean sweaters are the best on the market. I have many as I am a cold natured Texan . If you are thinking about this sweater it is well worth the purchase.

Beautiful sweater!
Such a beautifully crafted sweater! Heavy weight and great for layering. I am 5’5”, 120lbs and ordered a small. It is slightly big but I think if I ordered smaller the shoulders wouldn’t fit me correctly. I love it!

Almost a winner
I tried this on in store and really wanted it to work because the material, construction, and fit are all excellent. I'm fairly tall and long-limbed, and most LL Bean standard fits are too short in the sleeves for me, but this was perfect. The deal breaker was the color. Yikes. This shade of "beige" is extremely yellow, to the point that it almost leans a touch green (but a very sickly shade of green, if you catch my drift). That color is only flattering if you have exactly the right undertone - if you're cool or even neutral in skin tone, I would steer clear. Unfortunately, this seems to be a common problem with LL Bean, especially in the signature line - light "neutrals" are either very warm leaning or just straight up grey. Would love to see some more options that are actually neutral in tone.
