The original fisherman's sweaters of the Aran Islands were knit with designs that told stories of a rich coastal heritage. From good luck to a plentiful catch, special sentiments were represented in each and every stitch. When I think fisherman sweater, I think thick and warm. This is thick but not warm at all AND requires a top to be worn underneath due to the way it’s stitched, with large holes
throughout. It’s cute but isn’t a fisherman sweater and shouldn’t be advertised as such.
