We've taken our rugged ripstop shorts to the next level of comfort with an ultrasoft feel, a touch of stretch and a soft-knit elastic waistband.
- In a durable ripstop blend of 98% cotton with 2% spandex for just the right amount of stretch.
- Machine wash and dry.
- Faux-fly front.
- Comfortable knit waistband with adjustable drawstring.
- Side pockets and two back patch pockets with snaps.
- Roll from 10" to 7" inseam and secure with twill roll tabs and snaps.

Great length, very puffy waistband
Overall, these are a solid, comfortable and breathable short, with a nice length. I am 5'4" and these just cap my knees. However, the flat waistband has gathers underneath it that create an annoying little pooch both in front and back. They are also quite large, especially in the waist, so cinching the drawstring exacerbates the poochy waist fabric. I normally wear a 10-12 in shorts but will be exchanging for a medium in hopes it helps reduce the gathered pooch effect. Yes, as with most LL Bean clothing now, these are very much overpriced.

Almost perfect
I like the fabric and the fabric a lot. I don’t like the drawstring waist. I can’t really get it tight enough. I’m wearing them, but wishing they had elastic waist. I would recommend them for everything else. I had them hemmed as I’m a shortie. 5”
