Nicely made, but..
I bought these and returned them because of the fit. Great quality and material, but the fit through the hips was off; and they appeared too 'flat'.

Noisy and static but very functional
These pants have all the zippered security pockets I needed for international travel but they make an embarrassingly loud "swish" when you walk. They are also subject to incredible static so they often stayed stuck to my calves when I stood up. But they are ultra lightweight, stretchy, and virtually waterproof. Just don't plan any ninja activities because everyone will know you're coming!

Faulty Construction
The craftsmanship on this was faulty. The button/snap pulled out of the fabric the first time I put the pants on. It was if the rivet was never compressed.

Durable. Comfortable. Well made. Workhorse.
I think I've been wearing these pants and the shorts version continuously for the last 20 years or so. I keep coming back to them because they are simply the best hiking pants I've ever found.

Best pants I have ever owned due to light weight.
Great fit and flexible material is a game changer for sitting in a car for 2-3 hours. Not sure about new version which is 95% nylon. Bought mine a year ago and material is 73% cotton, 23% polyester and 4% spandex which is spectacular. Plan to try the 95% nylon version in 2026.

Good pants, bad fit due to changed material.
I have two older Cresta Hiking Pants, same size, same product number. However, the pants I recently bought are being returned. They do not fit (too small). When I checked the label, all three have the same product number, but the fabric composition of the new pants was different from the older Cresta Hiking Pants as well as the online specs for the pants. The older pants contain Spandex, these newer ones have Elastane, which apparently doesn't have as much "give."
