I purchased these for a trip to the Arctic where I'd need waterproof pants. I wore them over my thermal long-johns and they performed well, until....the seam split from beltline to crotch. Thankfully I had only one more day of the trip and found a sewing kit to stitch up the tear. I believe that this happened moreso because we had to wear life vests that had two straps between our legs, from back to front. One of the excursion drivers would "help" us out of the zodiac by lifting us by grabbing the vest in the rear - saying it was "for safety." But there were plenty of others to assist us out of the zodiac and none of the other drivers did this. But the pants performed wonderfully until this point, keeping me dry as advertised.
