Does What It's Supposed To Do!
I'm a woman but bought the men's rain jacket for myself for 1 reason: the colors of the women's jacket didn't appeal to me! I plan on wearing this jacket primarily when I travel, therefore being able to fit over a fleece jacket (and possibly another layer) was key. I'm 5' 1", 113#, I got men's small and it's perfect! The sleeves are long to cover my wrist and the jacket covers my butt. The breast pocket is very handy. Some reviewers complained that the hood kept falling over their eyes. There's a velcro tab behind the head that allows you to adjust the hood. I especially like the large inside pockets. I wore it in the rain and it didn't leak; don't know how it will perform in a torrential rainstorm. As for washing - I haven't laundered it yet, but when I do, I probably will just air dry it and not put it in the dryer.
