The straps and material are very stiff. The straps are sewn close together at the top of the backpack making the straps are very uncomfortable around my neck and shoulders.

Poor quality/construction
While this backpack looks nice, and was a good size, unfortunately the quality is not great. The strap has almost completely fallen off by the end of February (and my son only started using it in August).

Great material and size for upper school student
A great and durable backpack with the exception of the side pockets, but believe the latest one we have purchased is made with more durable netting to hold the water bottles. Great size for a high school students full load of folders, books, etc.

I bought this for my fourth grader and just one week into school the zipper kept on getting stuck on the fabric that’s covering it and it got ripped! Cheapest quality I’ve ever seen

Checks all the boxes
I bought this for work. I wanted a backpack that could fit my laptop, lunch box, water bottle, notebooks & other odds & ends. Sure you could use any bag for these things but most backpacks can be a pain. I wanted the main zipper part to open really wide so I didn’t have to struggle to put my laptop & oversized lunch box in. I also didn’t want that velcro strap to secure my laptop. Seems like a simple & small wish list & it is if you to spend $100. I remembered getting my kids LLBean bags when they were in school & they loved them. So I figured I’d check & see if anything spoke to me & this one nailed it. I love it! Straps are little stiff but I’m sure with time they’ll break in. I love the color & I love the price. It’s sturdy & very well made. You can never go wrong with an LL Bean purchase!!
