Huge Disappointment
I purchased the same jacket 2 years ago and was so happy with it. It kept me warm during winter. Only needed a down vest undenewth. When it finally wore down. I purchased what I thought was the same jacket. What I received was not
The jacket was so thin, it felt like I was wearing tissue paper. I don't know what's happened to LL Bean. They were always so reliable, but the quality has gone down.

Best Winter Coat
This is the best coat for lightweight warmth with water repellence. It is so lightweight that you can not believe that you can be so warm. It is my perfect all-round coat for winter snow, sleet, rain. It is easily packable. And I love the color purple with contrasting berry colored lining. Highly recommended.

Good mid weight coat
This coat is a good weight, but I haven’t worn it in the rain yet to see how waterproof it is. I like the fit, but the reason I gave it 4 stars instead of five is that the collar part on the left side won’t stay down when it isn’t zipped all the way up. It feels like it’s in the way.

Comfortable and Warm
So far I’m very happy with this jacket. It’s comfortable and surprisingly warm for such a light weight jacket. I would say that it’s too warm for temperatures above 50 degrees and I would wear a thick sweater under it in temperatures below 30. I wore it during a torrential rainstorm yesterday and it kept me totally dry. The fit is a bit snug on top so you might need to size up if you are big chested. I wish it had more pockets. I hope the fabric holds up over time.
