Rated 3 out of 5 by JaN3 from Confused about texture I'm wondering if I'm missing something because a lot of people find these to be amazing and a lot of websites suggested these. I wanted to try percale sheets for the first time but when I first felt them they immediately reminded me of plastic table cloths that come in many different colors. Slik and plastic like. Not what I was expecting. The hem elastic also made me think of plastic coverings. Comfortable enough first sleep but can't get over plastic feel which is ironic because these are in supposed to be 100 percent cotton. I'm wondering if maybe I'm just not used to expensive sheets? Also read that vinegar and baking soda can help. Will keep trying them out.

Having read Wirecutter’s recommendation, I ordered the percale sheets and have been so happy with the choice! They are indeed wrinkle resistant and feel surprisingly cool to the touch. They are definitely my favorite sheets ever.
