The perfect coat
This is my favorite coat, period. I wear it to work with dress clothes or on the town with some jeans and my llbean Chamois Shirt for a more rugged look.
It fits perfectly, is incredibly warm and comfortable, and is a versatile coat.
I know people are complaining that the black color is more of a dark charcoal, but this is honestly perfect for me, so I appreciate the extra feedback from reviewers.
Again, this coat is perfect. Purchase it if you want a versatile, rugged piece for your wardrobe.

Great coat!
This is a great and well constructed coat! I am getting a lot of complements wearing it! Nothing keeps you warmer than wool! I ended up buying a 2XLT. I am 6'2” and weigh 250lbs. It fits a little loose but that is how I like it.

I occasionally need something dressier than my barn coat. This not only fits the bill for shirt and tie, it casual enough for jeans. Quality build, fit is great, and it is warm!

Buttons are falling off!!!
Usually LL bean has tremendous quality but I was so disappointed when I received this jacket and at least two of the buttons are falling off. The jacket is nice otherwise but I don’t want the hassle of returning it and having to buy another one. Why don’t they just do straight up exchanges? Seems so complicated for no reason. I’ll probably just end up fixing it myself to save the trouble.

Nices Coat I have had to give a one Star rating.
The coat is perfect, I ordered XLT and it fit perfectly. High quality wool. Perfect cut, but it has one major design flaw that I have to give it a one star rating. No Pockets, they have been sewed shut. The pocket openings are just for show. It killed me to return the coat, but I new having no pockets would drive me crazy.
This coat is only good for a fashion runway model. There is not practical use for it in the real world.
Would not recommend...

Disappointed !!
I'm as big fan of LL Bean products. Coat fits perfectly. I've had the Coat a little more than a month, and (3) of the front buttons have all become very loose. I'm concerned that I will lose the button. For the price of the coat, I shouldn't have this issue.
