Made from premium stretch denim, with state-of-the-art S GENE® technology, the breakthrough fabric "remembers" its shape for superior retention. While the average recovery of other stretch denim is around 70% (leaving plenty of room for bagging and sagging), True Shape recovers 91% of its original shape (ensuring a great fit all day, every day). These jeans will follow your every move and look just as good at the end of the day as they did when you first put them on.
- Black: 90% cotton, 8% polyester and 2% elastane.

Nice fit, but change the zipper!
I bought these high-rise jeans in a petite 6. The length, fit, and fabric are fine, but designers are still using a 4-inch mid-rise zipper. Getting them on is a challenge! Thoughtful designers would advise that the waist opening in a high-rise style is narrower than the opening in a mid-rise jean due to the need for a taper at the top. Measuring my mid-rise jeans, it's obvious that the high-rise opening is 3-4 inches smaller, so putting on the True Shape H-R straight leg is very difficult with its 4" zipper, even for a size 6 person. I can just barely get these on, so I will keep them. Use a longer zipper on these jeans, and you will have fewer returns.

Nice jeans but runs very small in the waist.
These are nice general wear jeans. I would have rated them higher but they are made with a very small waist for the size (size 10). And there is no stretch in the fabric around the waist so no give. It’s a flaw in the design and sizing of the jeans.

So grateful that LL Bean continues to make these jeans. I was sad when the DoubleL jeans were discontinued, and these are a lighter denim than I would prefer, but they are well made and fit well.
