Great shoe for travel
I bought these for a recent trip where we would be walking 10-15 miles a day. I wanted something that looked nicer than a pair of sneakers. Extremely comfortable after days of being on my feet for 8-10 hours. Very happy with them.

Needed new laces
I owned a similar shoe and wore it for years. This one looked less industrial. They fit well but I replaced the laces. They were too stiff, and I could not tighten the shoe enough with the original laces. The new softer laces fixed the problem. I expect to again gets years of comfort from these as well.

Just to my taste
I've preferred this sturdy style, low cut, work shoe for 30 plus years. These are so much lighter than the Red Wing or Irish Setter; and the wide size option lets my little toe spread & no cramp.

Good quality
I’ve had several pairs now. Good quality uppers. Soles don’t last as long as I’d like. Even though the uppers are in good shape I’ve had to re-sole a couple of pairs.

Comfortable
Haven't used them much, but so far they are very comfortable when I go for a walk. Much better than my thin soles. I like the style but would prefer other colors and different texture material, seems like a combination of suede/leather and always scruffy looking as in the catalog photo. I would like a nice leather I could polish.
