Great jacket for cold snowy weather
I bought this jacket for the frigid & windy winter in PA. It kept me warm during my dog walks & times I wanted to get out of the house! I like that it’s wind & rain resistant. I purchased one size up for layering & it allows easy on and off.

Its a comfortable Parka and a great color!
I ordered this Parka a size larger because I wanted the dark color. Had a Turquoise/Green one last and it was forever looking dirty. I liked my last Parka which is why I ordered another one. I love all the pockets, the hood, and the inside adjustable elastic pulls to give you a close fit. The velcro outside the zipper is a pain as stuff gets caught on it, but once closed is not an issue. It does it job covering the zipper. The only issue I had with my last Parka was the zipper. I lost a tooth right at the bottom and was forever having problems getting it zipped. It would have been an investment to replace the zipper and a loss of use so I invested in a new one. Im hoping this zipper which looks heavy duty will last better. I really don't like the back to back zipper. I never zip open from the bottom up for any reason. So its an extra headache for me. That is the only bad thing I had to report. Otherwise very happy. Its quite warm and easy to keep clean..

Great parka, LL Bean needs a better two way zipper
My parka is nice an warm, good length, just what I wanted for a cold Maine winter. Like the detachable hood also. My negative points - the zipper, love the rugged two way zipper but it often is difficult to start or detach when putting the coat on and off. I also would rather have one more snap in the middle of the storm flap than the velcro. The velcro gets caught on clothing and frays seatbelts.

Almost perfect parka
I love the color and the fit. The only problem I have sometimes is with the bottom of the two-way zipper. It's not always easy to get the jacket unzipped all the way without fiddling with the 2 zipper pulls at the bottom.

Warm Coat
This is my second coat like this. It kept me warm even in the single digits and in all the snow and freezing rain I have gotten compliments on how nice it looks. I also like the various pockets especially the one on the inside of the coat.

New Colors please from
Warm for years
I have had my rugged ridge parka literally for decades, and it is still super warm and waterproof. Unless they have fixed this, you do have to be careful with the zipper, which can be finicky. I am waiting hopefully for the colors to be changed. The same colors have been offered for the past several years and I do not like them. I need a new coat, but not in those colors. Hopefully the quality is still as fantastic as it was when I purchased this years ago. I would also like L.L. Bean to include more reflective material for safety.
