Great sweater, but terribly mis-sized.
In the past I've found Bean sweaters to run small, with medium being a bit snug on me versus other brands. So I ordered this one in large, and two of me could have fit in it. I returned it for a medium, it seemed just as big. Based on the previous comments, it looks like you've got a systemic sizing problem with this sweater. I'm half afraid to order a small; even it may be too big. So disappointing, as it's a beautiful sweater and was just what I was looking for.

Great sweater, just bulky
I like the color. It was just more bulky than I wanted. I would like the cable knit closer together and lighter weight. It's a good sweater, just not what I wanted.

Classic/Timeless Beauty
I had a sweater like this in college that I absolutely loved and was hoping this would be similar. Very pleasantly surprised! The material is a nice weight (not too heavy), excellent quality and has a soft feel. Perfect low hip length & the v-neck adds a feminine touch, but is not too low. Highly recommend.

Too long
I am 5'4", 120 lbs and short waisted. I order the petite small in hopes that it would fall nicely to high hip. Unfortunately is fell very long. I did not get the petite xsmall because the sleeves, which were already a little short, would have been worse. So sad.

Sizing Is Definitely "Off" on This Sweater
I was so excited to see a cable knit v-neck sweater on the Bean website as few weeks ago. Ordered my normal Bean size Small and was hugely disappointed. It's too large overall. The width, body length and sleeve length could all pass for a size Large! Not quite sure that an XS would be worth the exchange. Was excited about a preppy navy v-neck sweater with white tipping, but sadly, I'm returning it.

I ordered this sweater in my regular size, misses M. It is large and very long (I am 5'5" tall). I returned it for a petite small.
