Inspired by an original - ours. Our Field Coat was first introduced in 1924 as the Maine Duck Hunting Coat. It was an immediate favorite - loved for its rugged look and quality craftsmanship. Plus, it coordinated perfectly with our Maine Duck Hunting Boots (now known as "Bean Boots"). The legacy continues with this stylish lighter version. Love the blue color
I love the jacket and the color blue. I bought an xs. I’m 100 pounds. It runs large in the body of the jacket. The sleeves are fine. I wish xs was really xs. I find a lot of garments run large in the body like this.

Great Classic Style
This is a great coat for early autumn or layering. Even with the shorter length, the classic design of the LL Bean field coat is still there. Like everything else from LL Bean, this little coat is made well and will last a good long time.
