Try it on in person!!
Bought 3 coats before I found the correct size. They run on the large size. I am 5'2", 146 lbs, and 71 years old.
I tried a large regular, much too big all the way around. Went to a petite XL as are all of my coats, still much too large in arms, length and circumference. Then tried a petite L, and it fits with arms, length, and all around. The hood, as was in all of the coats, is much too large to wear without a helmet(??) but fortunately is removable. It keeps me very warm in the frigid New England weather we have had recently, with wind, snow and below freezing temps. . It would be perfect if it had a pocket inside, other than the little one it has, maybe for glasses? I would recommend this to a friend, after trying them on in person in a store!!

Toasty warm!
This coat is probably my favorite one ever. Some coats are labeled petite but really aren’t proportionally petite. This is a true petite. And the best part is that it is toasty warm! Even with the bitter cold winter we have had in PA, I’m never cold in this. Honestly, this coat cost more than I usually spend, but it was money well spent!

Keeping my heart and soul warm
This is absolutely and without doubt or argument the VERY BEST winter coat I have ever owned in my entire life and that’s a long time. I’m not going to say how long because I’d rather not divulge my age to America. I moved from Albuquerque, NM to Northern Michigan and this coat has literally saved me from freezing to death. It snows here nearly everyday and a high temp is something-teen. This coat not only protects me from the cold, windy weather, it is keeping my marriage going strong. Without it,

Comfy and Warm
This coat definitely keeps me warm in our northern Virginia winters even when the wind is blowing. We have a dog to walk 3 times a day and I have enough room in pockets for a flashlight and extra baggies. Fits true to size as well.

Petite Ultra warm jacket
I purchased this coat as a barn/chore coat for colder temps. It is surprisingly warm for its weight .
I am 5 ft 155 lbs and the petite large fit well , with room for a turtleneck and sweatshirt underneath.
I appreciate that the hood is adjustable so as to fit a short person comfortably ,without falling down over my eyes.
Here are the Cons , tho…
There is a chest pocket but it’s on the inside , so you have to unzip the jacket to get to it . Not handy in the cold as that’s the only pocket to safely secure a phone.
There is a second inside pocket that’s 3”x7” , and I’ve yet to figure out what earthly good it serves . Way too deep and narrow for anything other than maybe a cigar .
The hood came with a zip off fake fur trim that is undeniably the cheapest looking thing I’ve ever seen.
I had ordered this online and the price shown was $220. But when I received it , the price tag was $199 !!! I’d really LOVE for LL Bean to explain why I paid an extra $21 for the coat !
Overall , it’s a decent coat . Warm , fits well. But a redesign would ditch the cheap fur on the hood and include a decent sized chest pocket on the outside .

Uncertain about aspects
Wanted this to work, but have only tried it on and haven’t worn it. Am concerned that it is a few inches too short. The jacked seems well made. The fur on the hood isn’t bold enough.
