Needs bigger side pockets
I bought this a little over a month ago for my son. We love the inside features and the size overall. It fits his books, laptop and lunch perfectly. Unfortunately, the side pockets on the outside are incredibly small. His stainless steel water bottle is constantly falling out and crashing on the floor. He’s not forced to just hold his water bottle on his walk to school. If you have a small water bottle, or are comfortable putting it inside the backpack, this is a good choice for you.

Adequate Backpack
I honestly have loved LLBean backpacks since when I was a student, but I think LLBean needs to think about a redesign for today's student needs. The fabric is great. The compartments and organization could be better.

Water bottle pockets need fixing
I like the bookbag size and its durability. But we cannot get a water bottle to stay in the side
Pockets. My older daughter has an LL Bean backpack and we have never had that problem. Now my daughter just has to carry her water bottle into school because if not it will slide right out as she places it on her back
