The Maine-made, weather-ready Gumshoe customers love, now even more comfortable and durable - and in half sizes too!
In 1912, when 90 of his first 100 pairs of boots sold were returned, our founder, L.L., sent out refunds and fixed the problem. We've followed in his footsteps, listening to customers and making improvements while staying true to everything that makes Bean Boots legendary. Best of all, they're still handsewn right here in Maine - one pair at a time - by expert craftspeople. Whoever says, "they don't build things like they used to," doesn't own a pair of these.
- Iconic chain-tread outsole is now made from even longer-lasting rubber.
- Upgraded dual-density insole offers enhanced comfort and cushion all-day long.
- Innovative triple-needle stitching provides long-lasting durability.
- Lace-up design provides secure and customizable fit.
- Updated high-quality supple leather upper gets better with time.
- Waterproof rubber boot bottom keeps feet dry.
- Uniquely shaped foot form offers comfort and stability, and a steel shank adds support.
- Best for rain, mud and other wet conditions.
- Waterproof up to 1 cm below the top of the rubber.

I wear these to walk my dogs. They are perfect to the wet grass in the morning. They will also be nice for light snow. I light the fit and will be able to add a heavier sock as the winter approaches.
