We've taken our rugged ripstop shorts to the next level of comfort with an ultrasoft feel, a touch of stretch and a soft-knit elastic waistband.
- In a durable ripstop blend of 98% cotton with 2% spandex for just the right amount of stretch.
- Machine wash and dry.
- Faux-fly front.
- Comfortable knit waistband with adjustable drawstring.
- Side pockets and two back patch pockets with snaps.

Great length for shorts
I keep buying these shorts because they're comfortable and the only ones I can find that have a 10 inch inseam. But warning (and this is true of a lot of LLBean) - the same size can fit dramatically differently in different colors. I wish LLBean could get their sizing straightened out.

Almost worked
I like the shorts overall. The material is nice and the waist band was comfortable. Unfortunately, the roll up function just didn't work. The shorts taper so the rolled up cuff could not lay flat, even when ironed. With only 1 tab on the outer side, the inner side tended to unroll, even when ironed. They just don't look great. I also found that they were not comfortable when walking. Even though the legs were plenty loose, they pulled on the front of my leg above the knee with every step. Unrolled, they were too baggy in the thighs. I'm sorry to say that I returned them.

Comfortable shorts

Nice color, odd fit, too long
I love the color of these shorts! They were an odd fit for me, though. Loose and pouchy at the waist, snug at the hips, too long, and I wish they'd make an elastic-waist short without the drawstring--or at least, a drawstring that can be removed. Not for me; I returned them.

This was a gift for a friend, she loved both, shorts and shirt. LL Bean, in my opinion, has the best clothing I have aver had!! I have a closet full of Bean short and long sleeve t shirts, plus pants !! Thank you for great products.
